Slow-moving and clumsy, the Zombie is a decaying undead creature that attacks with its bare hands. While individually weak, zombies become extremely dangerous when encountered in groups, making them a constant early-game threat in The Forge (Beta).
OVERVIEW:
Zombies are the most common undead enemies found in The Forge. Their sluggish movement and wide attack swings make them predictable, but their ability to absorb several hits allows them to overwhelm unprepared players when they swarm together.
Enemy Profile: Zombies define the early combat experience in Stonewake’s Cross. They move slowly, attack with broad melee swings, and rely on numbers rather than aggression. Their decayed bodies can withstand a few solid hits, turning them into a persistent threat rather than a fast one.
When encountered alone, zombies are manageable. In groups, however, they can quickly surround players and limit escape options.
Drops & Loots
- Tiny Essence [1/3]
- Small Essence [1/3]
- Medium Essence [1/6]
Locations:
- The Cave
- Inner Cave
- Deep Cave
- Stonewake’s Cross
Overview:
Although a single zombie poses little danger, multiple zombies attacking at once can trap and overpower unsuspecting Forgers.
Combat Strategy
Zombies are easy to defeat with nearly any weapon, making them ideal for beginners learning combat mechanics.
Recommended tips:
- Avoid pulling multiple zombies at once
- Use spacing to prevent being surrounded
- Focus on steady attacks rather than rushing
Proper positioning is more important than raw damage when fighting zombie groups.
Drops & Rewards
In addition to essences, zombies provide consistent gold and experience, making them useful for early leveling and basic farming. While their loot is modest, their high spawn rates compensate for the lower individual rewards.
