Races

Races determine your character’s core identity in The Forge, shaping how you fight, survive, and progress through the game. Each race comes with unique stat modifiers, passive bonuses, and special abilities that directly affect gameplay.

Every race is defined by three key traits: Rarity, Chance, and Special Abilities. While common races are easier to obtain and more forgiving for new players, rarer races offer powerful advantages—often with meaningful drawbacks that require skillful play to master.

Choosing the right race is just as important as selecting your weapon or build.

Rarity

Rarity determines how difficult a race is to obtain when rerolling.

Common races appear frequently and are ideal for learning the game.

Uncommon and Rare races introduce stronger bonuses with mild trade-offs.

Epic, Legendary, and Mythical races are extremely rare but can dramatically change how your character plays.

Chance

Every race provides passive stat modifiers that are always active. These can include:

  • Increased health or stamina
  • Movement or attack speed bonuses
  • Damage multipliers or resistances
  • Resource generation effects

These passives form the foundation of your build and synergize heavily with weapons, armor, and runes.

Special Abilities

Some races possess special abilities that trigger under specific conditions. These abilities go beyond simple stat boosts and can include:

  • Damage reflection or mitigation
  • Healing effects or lifesteal
  • Conditional buffs during combat
  • Unique attacks or defensive mechanics

Common/Uncommon

(Human, Elf, Zombie)

  • Ideal for learning mechanics and experimenting with builds

These races provide consistent performance without extreme strengths or weaknesses.

Rare/Epic

(Goblin, Undead, Orc, Dwarf, Shadow)

  • Noticeable trade-offs (speed, defense, or sustain)
  • Reward players who understand positioning and synergy

These races begin to specialize your playstyle.

Legendary/Mythical
